BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF CACTPA

China-Africa Countries Trade Promotion Association(CACTPA) is a non-profit social organization which is established under the approval of the State Council and the Ministry of Civil Affairs.Its mission is to promote China-Africa trade and cooperation, to strengthen the mutual understanding and friendship between Sino-African enterprises, to expand the products exportation and contribute to the undertaking by China in building a well-off and harmonious society in an all-around way.

In compliance with the laws, regulations and governmental policies of the PRC, China-Africa Countries Trade Promotion Association strives to develop foreign trade, to make good use of foreign capital, import foreign advanced technology as well as carry out all kinds of economic and technical cooperation home and abroad. Meanwhile we are responsible for promoting trade and economic relationship with African countries and regions thus to enhance the friendship and understanding between China and African trade and economic sectors.

So far, China-Africa Countries Trade Promotion Association(CACTPA) has established extensive trade and economic relation with more than thirty countries’ industrial and commercial enterprises. We have signed a cooperation agreement with more than ten counterpart organizations and have established Chamber of Commerce with some countries’ Chamber of Commerce. At the same time, we have set up foreign-based representative office in about ten countries and regions. Domestically, we have about 500 member enterprises dotted various provinces and autonomous regions in all kinds of fields such as machinery, electricity, light industry, textile, agriculture, automobile, petroleum and chemical industries，commerce, metallurgy, aeronautics and astronautics, chemical industry, construction materials, general industry, supply and marketing cooperatives, construction, foodstuff, mining, coal, logistics and etc.

The aim of China-Africa Countries Trade Promotion Association is to serve economic and trade enterprises of China and Africa, to promote economic and trade development between China and Africa, to carry forward the cooperation spirit of FOCAC, to make great efforts to compose a new chapter of china-Africa cooperation in order to build the bridge for China-Africa cooperation and communication to further share the results of FOCAC in 2006. we seek to expand new cooperation areas between China and Africa, to provide trade platform for Chinese companies to invest in Africa，also to offer African enterprises and relevant units a chance to get familiar with the Chinese social customs and culture and to seek commercial opportunities. Simultaneously, on the base of the principle of mutual respect, mutual trust, mutual support, mutual benefit and common development, we would like to jointly scheme the memorandum of cooperation in the following three years on China-Africa trade, culture and economic fields thus to accelerate the process of bilateral cultural and economic exchanges and cooperation and development.

China-Africa Countries Trade Promotion Association takes the tasks listed below as its core mission, that is, to conduct market investigation and analysis, to help member enterprises to find the development opportunities，to tap the potential market in African continent and neighboring countries; to provide the information and data on economic, political, management and trade, to enlarge member enterprises’ perception in expanding their business and development; to hold forum and training session on expertise and professional knowledge under various form to sharpen member enterprises’ competitive edge; to organize business trips and to set up exposition, promotion marketing saloon and business and industry cooperation discussion, to serve as a business and trade plat-form for member enterprises; to propagate member enterprises’ operation performance and achievements to uplift their reputation and social image. Our association expect to joint hands with entrepreneurs and friends from all walks of African countries to make efforts for the friendship and cooperation between China and Africa.

With the successful closing of 17th CPC National Congress and further growth of China’s foreign trade, China has entered a new development era. We share a strong belief that with the concerted efforts from all members, China-Africa Countries Trade Promotion Association will achieve one success after another and play ever growing important role in Sino-Africa trade and cooperation.
