On the morning of 1st March, Mr. Zhang Zongwu, Secretary-General of our foundation visited Mr. Epik Agusdin, the Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia. Mr. Zhang received a very warm welcome from the Embassy, and then both sides joined together for a friendly meeting. Mr. Muhammad Maulana Akbar, the Third Secretary and Ms. Maisty Erisha, Economic Officer, also attended.
Mr. Zhang Zongwu, The Secretary-General first thanked the Counselor for his warm welcome. He mentioned that, since our visit to ambassador last November, our foundation has established a friendly tie with the Embassy. He appreciated the firm support to our work, and hoped that both sides will deepen further exchanges and strengthen our existed friendship. Our Secretary-General briefly introduced our competitive advantages in resources, and the major projects and plans we have at hand for 2017. He hoped that our foundation can forge closer cooperation with Indonesian Embassy in various aspects. The Secretary-General pointed out that Indonesia is one of the most important countries along the Silk Road with very positive investment environment. This year, our foundation will carry on to organize forums, business promotions, salons, business trips and other trade activities, which may assist Indonesian business to promote their high quality products and pioneering industries, and encourage Chinese companies to invest in Indonesia. We look forward to more cooperation and mutual development.
Mr. Agusdin welcomed our visit. He emphasized that Indonesia is the biggest economy in ASEAN, and has prosperous development in its agriculture, manufacture, mining industry and service industry. He pointed out that the Indonesian embassy will open its communication channels, sharing trade information with its stakeholders. He looked forward to working closely with Chinese companies in agriculture, infrastructure, and pharmacy. He hoped that our foundation could organize business trips to Indonesia to encourage more Chinese companies to invest there. Last but not least, Mr. Agusdin also praised our foundation for its efforts to boost exchanges between China and Asian countries. Their embassy will give fully support to our future work, actively participate in our events, to make joint hands to build bridge for bilateral trade interactions.
Lastly, the Secretary-General invited Indonesia Embassy to participate in our One Belt One Road Economic and Trade Salon to be held in March. Mr. Agusdin accepted our invitation with pleasure, and looked forward for more practical cooperation.
The meeting ended in a pleasant atmosphere. This meeting has further strengthened our traditional friendship, appealed to the call for One Belt One Road Initiative, and laid a solid foundation for our future cooperation in multi-field aspects.
