Our Foundation Holds the Belt and Road Economic and Trade Salon in Henan Province

On the afternoon of May 9th,our foundation held the Belt and Road Economic and Trade Salon in Zhengzhou City, Henan province. This salon is another important economic and trade activity followed by the Belt and Road Economic and Trade Salon in Beijing in March, to coordinate with the Belt and Road Forum for International cooperation in May. It also promotes the economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between China and Belt and Road countries in response to President Xi Jinping’s Initiative. Attendees include Ambassador of the Embassy of Slovakia and his spouse, a diplomat delegation from the Belt and Road countries such as Afghanistan, Nepal, and African countries such as Namibia and the Democratic Republic Of Congo, as well as the representatives of Chinese local enterprises.
Our president Mr. Zhang Yi presided this salon.He delivered a welcome speech on behalf of our foundation, and expressed warm welcome and heartfelt appreciation to diplomats and Chinese enterprises’ representatives. Henan province is a populous province in Central China with convenient transportation, rich resources and broad market prospects. We held this salon in Zhengzhou City to help build a good communication platform between enterprises in Henan and embassies of the Belt and Road countries and African countries. President noted that the Belt and Road Initiative can not be realized without African countries. Under the Belt and Road Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping, our foundation will continue to strengthen the friendship with embassies of the Belt and Road countries and African countries, enhance mutual exchanges, deepen pragmatic cooperation and boost the common prosperity of international economy, trade and culture among Europe, Asia and Africa. In the end, our president expressed his hope that all sectors of society will make joint efforts to realize the Belt and Road Initiative and bring benefits to people from all over the world.

H.E. Mr. Dusan Bella, Ambassador of Embassy of Slovakia delivered a speech on behalf of the delegation. He expressed gratitude to our foundation’s invitation. Then he mentioned that the Belt and Road Initiative enhanced the friendship between China and countries along the route and played an important role to promote the multilateral economic and trade cooperation. It not only helps facilitate the international economy, trade and people-to-people exchanges, but also promote the world peace. He hoped that they can make good cooperation with Chinese enterprises in various fields to realize common development.

Mr. Harishchandra Ghimire, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Nepal, made an presentation and introduced the general situation, investment climate and ongoing projects of Nepal. He said that Nepal has good investment environment in fields such as agriculture,infrastructure construction and manufacture, as well as rich tourism resources. He warmly welcomed Chinese enterprises to invest and travel to Nepal.

Ms. Magdalena Vries, the first secretary of Embassy pf Namibia, gave a speech. She expressed appreciation to our support and our efforts to help organize business activity for the Deputy Prime Minister of Namibia‘s visit to China, as well as our contribution to bilateral economic and trade exchanges. Next, she introduced the invest environment and general situation of Namibia. Namibia is located in the south of Africa, with rich solar energy and ocean resources. There is a large potential to be further developed in many fields such as infrastructure construction and manufacture. They warmly welcome Chinese investors from various sectors.

Mr. Abdou Haladou, the academic and cultural attache of Embassy of Niger, delivered a speech. He is grateful to our foundation for providing such a good platform which helps embassies know Chinese enterprises better and find appropriate Chinese partners. He also shared helpful experience in the economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa , which provides reference to Chinese enterprises.

Next, representatives of Sino Trans & CSC and Yuanheng Medical Equipment Co., Ltd in Henan province, successively gave speeches and had good interactions and conversations with diplomats by sharing their successful experience.

The meeting ended in a pleasant atmosphere. Our foundation also arranged the on-the-spot business trips to several local enterprises for delegation, which achieved fruitful results.

This salon is the second station of the Belt and Road Economic and Trade Salon held by our foundation and helps build a platform for communication and cooperation between local enterprises in Henan Province and the Belt and Road countries with the principle of “Wide consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits ”, and make our positive contributions to realize the win-win cooperation between China and the Belt and Road countries .
