President visits the Ambassador of Embassy of Mozambique

On the morning of the 28 June, President Mr. Zhang Yi was invited to visit the Ambassador of Embassy of Mozambique, H.E. Mr. Aires Bonifacio Baptista Ali. Besides, the Minister of Mozambican Embassy in China - Mr.Arthur Antonio Rodríguez also attended this meeting. Two sides had a pleasant conversation.

Ambassador gave a warm welcome to the president and hoped that the continuous friendship will last long and deeper cooperation made. He mentioned there have been firm and stable relationship between our two countries and more opportunities will be brought after the Summit meeting between two countries with following projects. He pointed out that agriculture, infrastructure construction and tourism in Mozambique are highly developing, hence Chinese enterprises are mostly welcomed to investment in Mozambique in such fields.

The president firstly expressed his gratitude to the kind invitation and also showed his good vision towards promoting the trade relationships between two countries. He pointed out that “A helpful neighbour is better than a faraway relative” and so do us. Both sides should realize it and make full use of the advantage to share information and resources. We are also glad to recommend some famous agricultural enterprises to assist with Mozambique’s domestic construction.

The agriculture of Mozambique is rapidly developing, as most people engage in the husbandry industry. Since the new government came to power in 1992, it has dramatically adjusted economic structure, improve investment environment,introduce foreign investments, increase investment in agriculture and rural areas, speed up infrastructure construction and propose reduce overheads. These measures successfully brought fruitful results for economy recovery, by increasing up to 10 percent.

  Finally, this meeting ended in a pleasant atmosphere. Both sides achieved a agreement in sharing information and cooperating constantly, which laid a solid foundation for the further specific projects.
