Yu Shining, Director of the International Liaison Department of the institute
visited Mr. Freddy Sirait, Minister Counsellor of the Republic of Indonesia
at its embassy on 20 November 2015. They exchanged opinions regarding
bilateral trade under the background of One Belt, One Road initiative.
As an important member country of One Belt, One Road, Indonesia is located
at the intersection of Asia, Oceania, the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean,
and it is the largest economy in Southeast Asia. Director Yu firstly introduced
the structure and objectives of the institute and shared with Counsellor Sirait
our achievement in promoting SinoAfrica trade. Director Yu mentioned that,
Indonesia has attracted much interests among Chinese investors due to its
advantaged location and development sectors within the nation.
Counsellor Sirait expressed that, the Indonesian government went through
a transitional period in the past year and is welcoming a time of development
in the near future. Therefore, its government will put more focus on development
all sectors of the nation from now on. Counsellor Sirait hopes to deeped
cooperation with China in many sectors, including textile, agriculture and mining.
He hopes that his embassy will cooperation with our institute through increasing
communication in order to promote bilateral trade.
